After 5+ years of laboring in the DC music scene, Nunchucks get a taste of D.C.’s (other) big stage. This coming Sunday, July 3, 2011, Nunchucks will be opening up for D.C. Underground Punk/Garage Legends, The Slickee Boys, for their LAST EVER SHOW. Also playing is the Factory. Doors at 7PM, Nunchucks at 8PM.
Hey everybody!!! Our song “The Run In” will be playing on old technology known as FM radio on DC 101.1 on their “Local Lix” show starting this evening at 10pm EST!!! Check it out everybody (assuming that you own an AM/FM radio). A big thanks to Grant Random for featuring Nunchucks music over the airwaves.
Well…without all of the bells and whistles that a blog could have, here is the official launch of wearenunchucks.wordpress.com!!! I’m not quite sure exactly what I’m going to do with it, but I figure I might as well get it started. Other than featuring Nunchucks’ music, videos, pictures, show dates, lyrics, etc., I hope to give listeners/readers a closer look into the music, the songwriting process,old recordings, new demos, and a closer look at each individual member. I also would like to feature other bands, local & otherwise, that Nunchucks likes and possibly interview them and play a song of theirs with them. Ideas, ideas, ideas!!! More than anything, this will be another way for me to promote good, honest music; both our own and music that we feel should be brought out to the light or simply recognized. We’re no authority on music, just a bunch of guys with opinions like anyone else. So….here goes nothing!!!
